Proud new owner of an 08 midnight blue 14. She only has some Muzzy slip-ons and a few carbon fiber pieces but that'll change before long. Can't wait to start reading on the upgrades and seeing everybody's badass bikes.

The gentleman I bought mine from actually had it listed as purple. He said it always looks purple in most lights but I've yet to see the purple in it. I knew it was the color I wanted before I got there so I just figured the guy was color blind lol. It always either looks blue or black to me but in the right light a lot of blues do look purple

Another 14 in the fast color. It seemed quite different when I picked mine up in midnight blue (especially in the sunlight). I like different...
Yeah I still love this color. LOL it was often scoffed at back in 08 being called "Bass Boat Blue"! If I repainted mine, I'd go with the same color. No matter how much you like the color or how fast you think it is, one thing is for sure, there are a lot of Midnight Sapphire Blue 08 ZX-14s that are still running strong. I'm seeing a number of lucky new owners who have purchased this color.

haha--well, only if I do something stupid! Everything is very controllable. There's at least 70 lbs of junk that can come off the bike. The 45t rear sprocket is a noticeable change (but pretty much the same effect as downshifting 1 gear). A 190/55 does make a noticeable change in handling and I think a 200/55 is even more so. Tuning might provide a nuance of improvement but more importantly, it ensures the engine is running safely with exhaust or whatever else you do on the intake end. This summer I'm hoping to scary it up some with a little nitrous.

At night it looks black until you get up close and then it looks dark dark blue. In the sun it looks dark blue with baby blue sparkles.. (no I haven't been drinking)...
